Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Command with a Promise...
Salvation comes only through the work of our Lord Jesus Christ, but it does require action on our parts. We are commanded to believe, to repent of our sins and our sinful ways, and to be converted. Being a follower of Christ, a child of God, is an active life not a passive one. And some of the rewards of this active life is having my sins blotted out and having the Lord's refreshing presence in my life.
