Colossians 3:23-24 NASB
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Command with a Promise...
If we do all that we do, everything in life, heartily and as if we are doing it for the Lord (which we are) then we will receive His reward that He has in store for us. That reward may not measure up to worldly standards, but we are not to be striving after worldly perfection or rewards but spiritual perfection and rewards.
