NO DIVISIONS
1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Personal Challenge
We live in a very contentious age where the concept of us versus them has become prevalent and the norm. This has even worked its way into the church. Mob rule is not an acceptable way for a follower of Christ. Coercion and undermining others are not acceptable Christian practices. We have been given a model of leadership to follow and ways to have civil discourse amongst our fellow brothers and sisters in order to maintain unity in the body of Christ. When we choose to abandon this we end up with divisions and anarchy, which are antithetical to our God's way. Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!
