DEALING WITH SUFFERING
1 Peter 2:19-20
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.
Personal Challenge
Life is difficult. If we are striving to live godly lives it can be even more difficult We must remember that even after Jesus spent three years healing people and teaching God's truths, He was still crucified. Peter reminds us here that if we suffer for our commitment to Jesus that we should take it patiently because it is commendable before God. Of course, it is not easy to live this way but by His grace we will be able to do it. Glory be to God!
