NO FEAR
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Encouraging Words
We have been blessed by God to have the Holy Spirit bestowed upon us in our baptism and chrismation. That Holy Spirit, living within us, does not give us a spirit of fear and trepidation in this hostile world, but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. This is a promise from the living, eternal God. A promise that we can hold on to in all circumstances. This is how the martyrs through the history of the Church, and the prophets before them, could stand firm on their beliefs even in the midst of persecution and death. Glory be to God!
