COMMENDABLE BEFORE GOD
1 Peter 2:19-20
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.
Personal Challenge
So, what is being considered commendable here? When we are subservient to another, whether it be our employer, a government official or the government itself, or anyone that we are under the authority of, then whether they treat us nicely or poorly, it is our responsibility as Christians to be submissive to them. We do this because we are ultimately being submissive to God. Glory be to God!
