NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME

2 Corinthians 6:2

For He says:

“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Personal challenge

Paul begins chapter 6 of this letter by telling his readers to not take the grace of God in vain. We are saved into His family and His mission. What is that mission? To love God above all else and to love our neighbor above ourselves. Our salvation is not just for us to relish in, but for us to follow in His footsteps so that others may know of and receive, His grace and salvation. This often means that we do the hard things, sacrificing our desires and needs, for Him. Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy! Lord have mercy!
