WHATEVER THINGS...
Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Encouraging Words
"And the God of peace will be with you." So, in the previous verses, we found out how to live our lives in order to receive true peace that can only come from God. Now Paul tells us what to do to have the God of peace ever present in our lives. We are to meditate or occupy our minds with the following things: truth, nobility, just living, purity, loveliness, good report from good behaviors, virtue, and anything praiseworthy, Doing this prepares our hearts, minds, and souls for the God of peace to be with us. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, the sinner!
